The Taekwondo/Hapkido program at the YMCA is led by 7th-degree black belt, Mel Lute, and is designed for families to learn and practice together. This program helps build confidence while teaching self-defense skills.

This class runs on Wednesdays AND Saturdays. Both days included in registration.

  • The beginner class is for white belts and focuses on learning the 20 basic Taekwondo motions along with fundamental Hapkido techniques.
  • After completing the beginner class, students move on to the intermediate/advanced class, where they progress through the belt and rank levels over time.
  • Participants will improve their confidence, flexibility, and balance while having fun and making new friends. This program is open to ages 6 and up.
