Description

A cornerstone in the foundation of Youth Sports, the YMCA Basketball program offers the positive environment necessary for youth athletes to develop all aspects of their game. Our courts help develop fundamentals of the game - sportsmanship - team work - coordination - and the rewards of hard work.

Requirements

This is an Intra-Y League, with teams from local YMCAs participating. Games will include both home and away matches. Coaches and Sports Directors will primarily communicate via email.

  • Games are held on Saturdays, with varying start times.
  • Teams will practice once a week for one hour.
  • Practice days will be scheduled Monday through Thursday, depending on the size of the league.

Athletes will receive their jerseys before the first game.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • Evaluations: November 19th - 26th
  • Coach Contact Deadline: Coaches will reach out to families with practice, team, and game information by December 31st.
  • First Week of Practices: Begins the week of January 6th
  • Regular Season Start: Saturday, January 18th
  • Tournaments: Saturday, March 1st (or possibly earlier)
